The initiative offers investors a streamlined way to invest in high-yield, local currency (NGN-denominated) Nigerian government bonds and Treasury Bills. The GDNs, issued in Reg S and 144A series, will be supported by Standard Bank entities, including Standard Advisory London Limited, The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited, and Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC.
By leveraging Standard Bank’s strong local presence and BNY Mellon’s global investment infrastructure, the program aims to enhance access for international investors. The GDNs will be eligible for settlement through Euroclear and Clearstream, ensuring efficient cross-border transactions.
