NB had previously acquired an 80% majority stake in DWSN held by Distell International (now known as HEINEKEN Beverages Limited) in June 2024.
According to Nigerian Breweries, to boost production capacity, DWSN's operations have been relocated from rented premises to NB's facilities. This transition will enable DWSN to benefit from economies of scale and increase its market share in the wines, spirits, and Ready-to-Drink (RTD) categories.
Distell Nigeria is involved in the local production of wines and ciders under license from Heineken Beverages, namely— Amarula Crèam Liquor, Nederburg, Drostdy-Hof, 4th Street, Bain’s Whiskey, Knight Whiskey, Scottish Leader Whiskey, Chamdor wine ranges, Hunters, and Savanna.
